Doncaster

YWCA Doncaster Women's Centre offers support, information, counselling, training and volunteering opportunities to all young women.

Our women’s centre in Doncaster is a lively but safe and secure community resource for women right in the heart of the city. It is an area which is particularly deprived both social and economically and we work with women aged 11 to 30 from any background who may face homelessness, abuse, bullying, poor mental or physical health, poverty, unemployment, racism or sexism.

Many feel lonely, isolated and have lost confidence. We are there for all of them.

We run a large number of programmes and offer counselling to help them overcome their challenges, improve self-esteem and learn new skills. We run groups for Asian young women, young mums, lone parents, lesbian and bisexual women, a breastfeeding support group, groups for asylum seeker and refugee women from Turkey and Albania... and many more.

For many of the young women that use the project, it is a lifeline.

Thanks to all our supporters for helping us to continue our vital work.
