 | How your money can help |
Without your support we cannot continue our work with disadvantaged young women. Please support us if you can. Every donation really does help and is very gratefully received.
£1 enables YWCA to provide a subsidised nourishing meal for a young woman at one of our drop-in sessions
£2 a month will help a young woman attend a regular drop in session so she can start on the road of having more confidence in her relationships
£5 a month provides resources for a young woman not in school to help her with courses in a YWCA centre
£5 a month pays the expenses of one of our IT volunteers to help young women gain vital computer skills
£10 a month enables five young women to benefit from a counselling session to talk through issues such as abuse, depression, bereavement, alcohol and drug abuse
£10 a month will help a young women attend regular sex and relationship sessions at a YWCA centre so that she has more confidence to look after herself and take control of her life
£20 a month supports our staff working with young women who are on probation and/or doing community service
£20 a month will enable YWCA outreach workers to keep going out on the streets to make contact with young women
£1,000 enables 30 young women who can't get information and advice through mainstream sources to have individual counselling sessions to talk through issues such as abuse, depression, bereavement, alcohol and drug abuse.
£2,600 pays for one part-time youth worker for a whole year to work with a group of young women struggling with their confidence and self-esteem. By befriending very vulnerable young women we provide guidance and practical support on issues like sexual health, education, drugs, housing and escaping violence so that they can take control of their own lives.

You must be a UK taxpayer, paying an amount in income tax or capital gains tax equal to the amount we reclaim on your donation in the current tax year (currently 28p in every pound donated).
| How much goes on admin? |
Currently 68p in every £1 is spent directly on our face-to-face work with young women in centres across England and Wales. We spend 11p in every £1 on our work influencing policy makers, MPs and community leaders and research into issues that affect young women. And the rest we use to pay for our team of professional staff, rent on buildings, equipment and things like electricity, gas and water.
